Travis Alan Thiel

Travis Alan Thiel, of Kingston, NY has sadly passed away on July 4, 2024. He was born on June 30, 1983, in Harris NY, the son of Kimberly (Miller) Persell and Ronald Thiel.

Travis will be fondly remembered for his boundless generosity and his ability to light up any room with his humor. With a knack for making people laugh, he had a way of bringing joy to those around him. His love for fishing, nature, and the outdoors was evident in the way he embraced life. Additionally, Travis had a passion for comedy, golfing, history, trivia, and reading - interests that enriched his life and brought him immense pleasure.

Travis was preceded in death by his sister Shelby Thiel.

In his journey through life, Travis shared special bonds with his family and friends. He is survived by his mother Kimberly Persell and bonus dad David Persell, father Ronald Thiel and bonus mom Martha Thiel, daughters Christina Hamberger-Thiel, Giana Thiel, and Addison Thiel, siblings Ryan Thiel (Angelica), Kahle Persell, Brianna Thiel, Emily Thiel and Gabby Thiel, grandmother Kathleen Beesimer,  niece Alisa Thiel and nephews Brenon, Jayden and Rylan Thiel as well as numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.

Visiting will be held on Friday, July 19th from 6:00 PM to 9:00 PM at Humiston Funeral Home in Kerhonkson. A Celebration of his Life will take place on Saturday, July 20th at 10:00 AM at the funeral home. Burial will follow in Pine Bush Cemetery, Kerhonkson.
