Tillie Tapper

Tillie Tapper of Lake Katrine, formerly of Ellenville and Accord, NY, passed away on Sunday, September 16, 2012. She was 93 years old. Tillie was born on October 21, 1918 in New York City; she was the daughter of Louis and Anna Fielstein and the widow of Harry Tapper.
For many years Tillie and her husband ran Tappers Chicken Farm in Accord. She was active in the Kerhonkson Synagogue as well as Congregation Ezrath Israel.
Mrs. Tapper is survived by her sons Melvyn and his wife Elaine of Kerhonkson and Jerry and his wife Rita of Norwich, CT. Her grandchildren, Jaime, Jodi, Lisa and Adam. Her six great grandchildren and her brother Morris Fielstein and sister Yetta Cowen.
Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, September 19th at 12pm at H.B. Humiston Funeral Home, 30 42nd St. Kerhonkson. Family and friends are welcome to gather at 11am. Burial will follow at the Kerhonkson Synagogue Cemetery. The family will be observing Shivah immediately following the services at Melvyn's home.
