Stella Pugliese

Stella Pugliese of Kerhonkson, NY, died Friday, October 3, 2008 at Golden Hill Health Care Center. She was 96. Mrs. Pugliese was born on October 6, 1911 in New York City, the daughter of Vincent and Angelina (Vitale) Cena.

Stella enjoyed crocheting. She had worked in the Dress Shop in the Granite Hotel for over 37 years. Mrs. Pugliese was a Communicant of Our Lady of Lourdes Church in Kerhonkson and a Charter Member of the Kerhonkson Ladies Auxiliary.

On June 2, 1929 Stella married Frank Pugliese in NYC. He died in December of 1977.

Mrs. Pugliese is survived by her daughter; Marie Pittelli of Kerhonkson and her son; Frank Pugliese of Kripplebush, her grandchildren; James Pittelli, Lisa Dortch and her husband Eric , Frankie Pugliese and his wife Sawalee, Larry Pugliese and his wife Pam and Anthony Pugliese, 12 great-grandchildren and 9 great-great grandchildren.

Stella was predeceased by her son Vincent, her brother Joseph and her sister Antoinette.

A Graveside Service will be held on Monday, October 6th at 1 PM at Pine Bush Cemetery.
