Shirley Miller Zeko

October 24, 1934 — November 11, 2012

Shirley "Tippy" Miller Zeko, 78 of Concord, NC and formerly of Accord, NY,

passed away on November 11 at her home in North Carolina. Born October 24, 1934

in Spring Glen, NY, she was the wife of Robert J. Zeko, who preceded her in

death, and the daughter of the late Henry Miller, Sr. and Tessa Avery Miller.

Tippy spent much of her life as a homemaker caring for her family after years of

employment at New York Telephone Company and the New York Correctional Facility

in Napanoch, NY. While raising her family, Tippy helped her husband operate his

independently-owned business, Zeko Plumbing & Heating.



Tippy raised a large family and leaves behind six children, Karen Rinaldi of

Kerhonkson, NY, Lisa Landon of Concord, NC, William Farrell of Accord, NY,

Pamela Ogle of Clover, SC, Shawn Farrell of Kerhonkson, NY, and Christopher Zeko

of Tannersville, NY. She was blessed with 20 grandchildren and 16

great-grandchildren. Tippy also leaves behind her three siblings, Paul "Pudge"

Miller of NC, Irene Miller Whaley of NJ, and George Miller of NY, along with

many dearly loved nieces, nephews and friends. Several siblings preceded her in

death, Carl "Stubby" Miller, Robert Miller, Marrion Miller Damns, Charles

Miller, Henry "Hank" Miller and William Miller.



Services for Tippy will be held on Friday, November 16 at Loucks Funeral Home in

Ellenville, NY. Visitation will be from 12 - 2 pm; a graveside service will follow at

Fantinekill Cemetery in Ellenville. Family and friends will gather at the Accord Firehouse

following the graveside service.
