Sheik Rasheed Hassan

Sheik Rasheed Hassan of Ellenville, NY passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, October 31, 2020. He was 28 years old. Rasheed was born on May 17, 1992 in Queens, NY; he was the son of Sheik Jaleel Hassan and Zaheeda Hassan. 

In addition to his parents, Rasheed is survived by his son, Sheik Nahzir Hassan; his sister, Tifany Hassan; his partner, Chai-ann Wallace as well as many extended family members and friends.

Rasheed attended Ellenville High School and graduated from John Adams High School in Queens, NY. He was passionate about boxing and as an amateur boxer, Rasheed fought in the Golden Gloves. Rasheed was a compassionate and kind-hearted man to those who were less fortunate. His passing leaves a huge void in all the lives he touched. 

Visiting will be held on Wednesday, November 4th from 12:00 pm – 2:00 pm at Humiston Funeral Home, Kerhonkson, 30 42nd. St., Kerhonkson. A funeral procession will form immediately following visitation and travel to Fantinekill Cemetery in Ellenville for graveside prayers.
