Shaun Lawrence Carey

Shaun Lawrence Carey age 57, of Honolulu, Hawaii and formerly of Kerhonkson, New York, passed away on Monday, July 22, 2024 at Queen's Medical Center in Honolulu. Shaun was born in Queens, NY on May 6, 1967; he was the son of Onnolee Decker and the late Arthur E. Decker. 

Shaun graduated from Rondout Valley High School in "1985" and shortly after he enlisted in the United Sates Air Force. Following his honorable discharge, Shaun attended the University of Miami graduating with a Bachelor of Business Administration in Finance. Shaun worked in Florida for a short while before relocating to Hawaii where he worked as the Director of Treasury, Aqua-Aston Hospitality, Honolulu, Marriott Vacations Worldwide.

Shaun is survived by his wife Mary Ann Salvador from Honolulu, HI; mother Onnolee Decker from Kerhonkson, NY; sister Colleen McGinnis and brother in law Kevin McGinnis of Mililani, HI; brother Peter Carey of Kingston, NY; niece Katrina Carey of Stuttgart, Germany.

Visitation will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, August 1, 2024 at St. Augustine By the Sea Catholic Church in Waikiki. Rosary and Eulogy precedes the Mass Service at 11:00 a.m.

Inurnment will be held at the Holy Cross and Mausoleum Catholic Cemetery in New Jersey at a date and time to be announced.
