Roland Arthur Hendrickson "Knobby"

Roland Arthur Hendrickson “Knobby”, a lifetime resident of Wawarsing, NY, died Sunday, April 27, 2008 at his home. He was 78. Roland was born on October 6, 1929 in Ellenville, NY the son of Frederick and Sarah E. (Coddington) Hendrickson.

Mr. Hendrickson was a Staff Sergeant in the United States Air Force during the Korean Conflict. He was employed by the Labor Union Local 17 for 35 years having done various jobs throughout his career.

Roland is survived by his companion of 32 years Joan Daddone at home, his son; Pierre A. Hendrickson of Wawarsing, his step-children; Edward (Kathy) Smith, Donna (Joseph) Hicks, Patricia (Leonardo) Ingles and William Smith,  several step-grandchildren and step-great-grandchildren, his brothers; Harold (Erna) of Bayonet Pt., FL, Gerald (Iva) of South Lake Tahoes, CA, Robert (Paulette) of Overgaard, AZ and Albert (Georgia) of Tucson, AZ, his sisters; Lillian La Casse of Wawarsing and Carolyn (Donald) Rider of Accord, several nieces and nephews. Mr. Hendrickson was predeceased by his brothers Francis and Douglas Miles Hendrickson.

Visiting will be held on Tuesday, April 29th from 2-4 and 7-9 PM at H.B. Humiston Funeral Home, 30 42nd St., Kerhonkson. A Celebration of his life is scheduled for Wednesday, April 30th at 10AM at the Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Accord Rural Cemetery.
