Robert W. Odell

Robert W. Odell of Queens Highway in Accord, died suddenly on Thursday, December 25, 2008. He was 45 years old. Robert was born on March 19, 1963 to John and Carol (Saunders) Odell in Ellenville.

He graduated from Rondout Valley Central School in 1981 and attended Ulster Community College. Robert was employed in the 1980’s by Processed Timber in Ellenville and in 1988 went to work for VAW and later Hydro in Ellenville until their closing. He was an avid matchbox and model car collector. Robert volunteered his time and had a special connection with several of the patients at the Northeast Center for Special Care in Lake Katrine, where patients are sent with severe head trauma.

In addition to his father John of Accord, Robert is survived by his two brothers, Edward of Ellenville and John of Highfalls. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.

Robert was predeceased by his mother Carol who died in 2002.
