Raymond Miller

Raymond Miller of Kerhonkson, NY passed away Wednesday, January 26, 2011 at Ten Broeck Commons. He was 88 years old. Raymond was born on January 11, 1923 in Accord, NY; he was the son of the late Leslie and Grace (Dingy) Miller.

Raymond was a Medical Aid Man in the United States Army, having served from 1942 to 1946. Raymond enjoyed hunting and fishing, playing his harmonica and the accordion.

On August 12, 1970 he married Patricia Joan Holgate. She died in 2010.

Mr. Miller had worked as a taxi driver for Veritas Villa and prior to that was a truck driver. He was a hard worker who provided for his family and will be missed by all.

Raymond is survived by his children; Sue Lapp (Robert), Barbara Miller (Paul Contini), Anthony Kennelly (Joanne), Margaret Kennelly (Pat Cyr), Cindy Stedner (Michael), Steven Miller (Janine), Leslie Miller and Nancy VanLeuven, his grandchildren; Chenai Helmich, Tiffany Smith, Richard Smith Jr., Lloyd Cooke Jr., Kevin Cyr, Britney Kinch, Kayline Upton, Joseph Kennelly, Anthony Kennelly II, Bobbi Jo, Kimberly, Steven and Brandon Miller, Mary, Tara, Pat and Gary VanLeuven, Sara and Shawn Stedner, his sister Shirley Shultis, many great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

Raymond was predeceased by his son and three daughters.

Visiting will be held on Sunday, January 30th from 2-4 and 7-9 pm at H .B. Humiston Funeral Home, 30 42nd St. Kerhonkson. A Celebration of his life is scheduled for 1:00 pm on Monday at the funeral home. Burial will follow at Pine Bush Cemetery.
