Philomena Cilenti

Philomena Cilenti of Accord, NY, died Saturday, December 13, 2008 at Ferncliff Nursing Home with her family by her side. She was 95. Mrs. Cilenti was born on December 29, 1912 in Bethlehem, PA, the daughter of the late Matthew and Marrianna Petrucella .

Philomena had worked as a seamstress for many years. On May 30, 1936 Philomena married Ernest Cilenti, Sr. Together they moved to Accord from the Bronx in 1977. Ernest passed away in 1985. Mrs. Cilenti was a communicant of Our Lady of Lourdes Church in Kerhonkson.

Philomena is survived by her children: Ottoviano (Tavi) Cilenti and his wife Diana of Accord, Maryann Cilenti of Wassaic, NY and Ernest (Butch) Cilenti and his wife Gloria of Farmingdale, LI, her grandchildren: George Nigro and his wife Joanne of Wawarsing, Vinny Nigro and his wife Valerie and Christopher Cilenti of Accord, Lisa Marie Ruggiero and Michelle Vendura of LI, her great-grandchildren: Vincent, Amber, Michael and Carmine Nigro, Alexandria Cilenti and Paige Vendura. Philomena was predeceased by her daughter Geaconda Nigro and her son-in-law Carmine and several brothers and sisters.
