Norma Clayton

Norma J. Clayton of Accord, NY died Sunday, January 4, 2009 at Benedictine Hospital. She was 63. Norma was born on November 25, 1945 in Ellenville, NY, the daughter of the late Francis “Pal” and Maud (Constable) Quick.

On July 31, 1982 Norma had married William G. Clayton at the Federated Church of Kerhonkson. William had died in August 2007.

Norma was a Rondout Valley Graduate, Class of 1963. She volunteered at the Caboose in Kingston (RSVP), the Youth Commission and Boy Scouts. She absolutely loved to square dance, knit, go to yard sales and go cruising in her convertible.

Norma is survived by her children; David W. Linscott Sr. of Accord, Margaret C. Chipman of Accord, Patricia A. Harris of Hurley, Philip E. Clayton of Accord, her step-son William M. Clayton Sr. of Napanoch, her sisters, Brenda Mabie of Ballston Lake, NY and Elaine Rivenburg of Great Barrington, MA, and 8 Grandchildren. Norma was predeceased by her grandson Joseph Linscott.

A Graveside Service will be held on Wednesday, January 7th 2PM at Pine Bush Cemetery, Kerhonkson. A Celebration of her life will follow at the Kerhonkson-Accord First Aid Squad. Arrangements are under the direction of H.B. Humiston Funeral Home, Kerhonkson, 30 42nd St., Kerhonkson, NY 12446.
