Mykola Gajdycz of Kerhonkson, NY died Thursday, July 9, 2015. Mykola was born on May 13, 1924 in Ukraine. He met and married his wife and often joked he could not ever forget her birthday because they were born on the same day one year apart. Mykola’s beloved wife Nina died in 2011.
Together they nurtured two children; son Basil Gajdycz and his wife Alina, and daughter Lesia Gajdycz, grandson Eric, brother Ostap and sister Nastia their children his nephews and nieces.
Mykola and Nina moved from NYC over 40 years ago to Kerhonkson. He then established Precision Part Tool and Die Manufacturing producing prototype and specialty machine parts. The local church community was important to him, taking part in events and meetings. As a “SuperSenior” at age 91 he still called his friends in Australia to California. His motto was “You never have to many friends”. His sense of humor, just one piece of his legacy, will carry us all through till we meet again.
