Mary Theresa Rossi

Mary Theresa Rossi of Kerhonkson, NY passed away on Saturday, December 26, 2009 at Benedictine Hospital. She was 78 years old. Mary was born on May 30, 1931 in New York City, she was the daughter of John and Elvira (Chiappa) Rossi.

Mrs. Rossi was a seamstress and designer for Adel Simpson in New York City. She retired from the New York Garment District Workers Union. Mary was the Trip Coordinator and a very active member of the Kerhonkson-Accord Senior Citizens. She worked with the election board and was very involved within the community.

Mary is survived by her brother John Rossi and his wife Barbara, 2 nephews: Lt. John Rossi and Gregory Rossi. She was predeceased by two infant sons.

Memorial calling hours will be held on Tuesday, December 29th from 6-8 pm at H.B. Humiston Funeral Home, 30 42nd St., Kerhonkson. A Memorial Mass will be celebrated on Wednesday, December 30th at 10 AM at Our Lady of Lourdes Church, Kerhonkson. Burial will be private.
