Mary Every

Mary Clayton Every of Kerhonkson, NY passed away on Sunday, May 23, 2021. She was 82 years old. Mary was born on November 22, 1938 in Margaretville, NY; she was the daughter of the late Herbert and Helen (Sliter) Clayton.

Mary attended the Kingston Hospital School of Nursing which started her career as a Licensed Practical Nurse. She worked for Ulster Kimberly Quality Care in Kingston, NY, and retired after 34 years. Mary was an honorary member of the VFW and supported many organizations that helped disabled veterans. In her down time, she enjoyed gardening and doing jigsaw puzzles. She cherished the time spent with her fur baby Rambo.

Mary was predeceased by her husband Merritt Every; an infant daughter; her step son, Craig Every; her sister, Annie Gillespie and her brothers William and Frederick Clayton.

Surviving are her cat Rambo; her daughter-in-law, Laura Every; her stepdaughter, Sheri Apuzzi; her sister, Evelyn Haga; her grandchildren, Stephen, Alexander and Katherine Every and Joseph and Jacob Apuzzi and her great grandchildren, Jacob, Amelia and Joey.

Visiting will be held on Wednesday, May 26th from 6:00 to 8:00 pm at Humiston Funeral Home, 30 42nd St., Kerhonkson. A celebration of her life will be celebrated at 10:00 am on Thursday May 27th at the funeral home. Burial will follow in Fairview Cemetery, Stone Ridge.
