Margaret J. Flynn, 69 of Kerhonkson, NY passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on November 1, 2012. Margaret was born on August 9, 1943 in New York City, the daughter of Clarence and Miriam (Taroni) Griffis.
Margaret was a parishioner of Our Lady of Lourdes Church in Kerhonkson. She worked at the Pinegrove Ranch previously for many years. She then obtained a degree to work with chemically dependent people. Maggie devoted many years working at Veritas Villa as a Substance Abuse Counselor before she retired. She had a salty sense of humor, a love for dogs, sarcasm, facebook, QVC, murder investigation tv, and gossip.
Margaret is survived by her boy toy, Bill Gaeta. Her children; Michael Sweetser and Viviana, Melissa Sweetser, Michelle Zuckrow and her husband Stuart, Terry Sweetser and his wife Nicole, J.R. Flynn and his wife Gina and Aimee Palombaro and her husband David. She has 15 grandchildren, 5 great grandchildren and many nieces, nephews and cousins. Also surviving are her sisters; Sarah Druin (Fred), Mary Morlock, and Nancie Prisco (Jeff). Margaret was predeceased by her brother David Griffis and her nephew Michael Prisco.
Visiting hours will be on Sunday, November 4th from 4-7pm at HB Humiston Funeral Home, 30 42nd Street, Kerhonkson. A prayer service will begin that evening at 6pm.
