Mabel Skeens

Mabel Skeens of Accord, NY died on Wednesday, January 26, 2011. She was 82. Mabel was born on January 14, 1929 in Liebhardt, the daughter of Raymond and Celestia (Hendrickson) Conner, and the widow of Charles B. Skeens.

Mabel was a life long resident of the area and had managed the Beauty Shop at the Granite Hotel. She enjoyed doing crafts and playing bingo. Mabel was a Life Member of the American Legion Auxiliary Cook-Taylor Post #111.

Mabel is survived by her daughters; Linda Skeens-Davis and her husband Barry of Accord, Darlene Wade and her husband Robert of Ohio and Charlene Constant and her husband Richard of Greenfield Park. Her son, Frank Skeens and his wife Nancy of Hyde Park. Her brother, Robert Conner of Ellenville. Grandchildren; Maria, Shannon and step-grandson Chris and great grandson Ricky.  She was predeceased by her brothers Raymond, James and Louis Conner and her sisters Rachael Champain and Mildred Rose.

The funeral service will be held Saturday, January 29th 11am at H.B. Humiston Funeral Home, Kerhonkson. Burial will follow at Pine Bush Cemetery, Kerhonkson.
