Lillian Larsen Hall-Davis died in her sleep January 3, 2024. She was 93. Born in New York City on May 16, 1930, she was the middle daughter of Norwegian immigrants, Lawrence and Trina Larsen.
The family moved to Stone Ridge, NY where she was raised on the family farm on Leggett Road. Lillian graduated from Kingston High School and attended Rider University before getting married to Richard Hall-Davis of Accord on December 27, 1952. After living for a few years in Utica, Rich and Lil returned to Accord, where they raised a family. In 1964 Lillian became the Postmaster of Accord and then, several years later, the Postmaster of New Paltz where she remained until she retired in 1993. Lillian loved her job, her family, her good friends, and her pets. She was a charter member of the Kerhonkson-Accord First Aid Squad and also the past president of the Ellenville Lady Elks Lodge #1971. Lillian loved to travel the world. Some of her trips included Africa, Europe, Japan, South America, Norway and of course the United States, but she always came back to the home she loved that was built by her father and her Uncle Oscar.
She was pre-deceased by her husband in 2003 and leaves behind her children: Richard, Thomas, Wendy (Jack), Louise and Charlotte (Oded); her grandchildren: Vincent, Alexander, Anna, Thomas, Austin, and Syndee; a great-grandson, two great granddaughters; niece Leslie (Steve), North Dakotans niece and nephews, Norwegian first cousins, and her dear cat, Lucy. She will be greatly missed.
In lieu of flowers donations to the Hudson Valley Hospice would be greatly appreciated. Graveside services are scheduled for Thursday, January 11th, 12:00PM at the Krumville Cemetery.
