Leonard Reider

Leonard Reider, Sr. of Greenfield Park, NY, passed away Monday, December 20, 2010 at his home. He was 91 years old. Leonard was born on February 16, 1919 in Ellenville, NY; he was the son of Jacob and Fannie (Harris) Reider.

Mr. Reider was a veteran of the United States Army, having served from May 6, 1941 until October 19, 1945 when he was honorable discharged.

Leonard had developed his own construction company in 1967 and retired after many years of hard work and dedication in 1997.

On May 22, 1969 Leonard married Elma Depuy in Mexico.

In addition to Elma at home, Leonard is survived by his children; Francine Reider of Ulster Park, Deborah Carpenter and her husband Thomas of Wawarsing, Leonard Reider, Jr. and his wife Christina of Ellenville, Terrie Price and her husband Dan of Pittsburgh, Kirk Reider and his wife Terri of West Virginia, Howard Reider and his wife Edith of Ellenville, Betty Enos and her husband James of Gardiner and Pamela Dunn and her husband Buster of Kerhonkson. Also surviving are several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

Leonard was predeceased by his sisters Augusta Golden and Beatrice Rind.
