Kornelia Lonkewycz

Kornelia Lonkewycz, age 99, passed away Tuesday, September 10, 2019, at St. Joseph’s Adult Care Home. She was born November 15, 1919 in Kolomyja, Ukraine to the late Petro and Karolyna (Budzienowska) Sawczuk. 

Kornelia was predeceased by her loving husband Paul, her only child Boris, her great granddaughter Scout and her brother Bohdan.

She is survived by her daughter-in-law, Christina; and her grandchildren, Arianna (Damian) Masterson and Nicholas (Zorielle) Lonkewycz; four great grandchildren, Mateo, Finnegan, Penelope and Beckett Louise; her nieces, Alexandra Dutka, Dana Lenec, Natalka Sawchuk (Chris Blay) and Roxolana Sawchuk (Driss Zoukhri); brother and sister-in-law, Zen and Olga Sawchuk; sister, Irene Synyshyn and sister-in-law, Nadia Sawczuk.

Visiting will be held on Friday, September 13th from 4-7 PM at the H. B. Humiston Funeral Home, 30 42nd Street, Kerhonkson.  The Divine Liturgy will be Saturday, September 14th 10 AM at Holy Trinity Ukrainian Catholic Church, Kerhonkson. Burial will follow at Pine Bush Cemetery, Kerhonkson.
