Kenneth Arthur Wells, Jr. "Butch"

Kenneth Arthur Wells, Jr. “Butch”, of Kerhonkson, NY, died Monday, April 28, 2008. He was 71. Kenneth was born on December 7, 1936 in Kingston, NY the son of Kenneth A. and Hilda (Schoonmaker) Wells, Sr.

Mr. Wells served eight years with the Battery A 1st Battalion 156th Artillery in the United States National Guard of New York. Before retirement, he had been employed as a Laborer for Smith Avenue Moving and Storage Company of Kingston. Ken was an avid collector and yard saler. His gentle spirit will be remembered by his family and friends.

He is survived by his wife, Donna Dae McElree Wells at home, his daughter; Mary Ella Wells Rockwell and her husband Brad M. Rockwell of Kerhonkson. His granddaughter, Ashley Marie Rockwell. His sisters; Mary Dundom of Kingston and Louise Simpson of Wawarsing. His brothers; Morgan of Connelly, George of Saugerties, Martin of Kingston and Robert of Florida, several nieces and nephews.

Visiting will be held on Thursday, May 1st from 6-9 PM at H.B. Humiston Funeral Home, 30 42nd St., Kerhonkson. A Celebration of his life is scheduled for Friday, May 2nd at 11AM at the Funeral Home. Rev. Sara Thompson Tweedy will officiate. Burial will follow at New Paltz Rural Cemetery.
