Kenneth John Blair, Sr.

Kenneth John Blair Sr., aged 87, from Accord, NY, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, June 18, 2024. He was born on Monday, November 23, 1936, in New Paltz NY to his loving parents Peter and Ethel (Terwilliger) Blair.

Kenneth proudly served in the US Army and on November 26, 1960, he united in marriage with his beloved Bertha E. Crapser in Poughkeepsie. Together they lovingly raised their two children, Kenneth J. Blair Jr. and Karen S. Blair. A dedicated resident of Ulster County throughout his life, Kenneth worked as a milk delivery driver in Kerhonkson and later for Hood and then for Crowley until his well-deserved retirement.

He is survived by his son Kenneth J. Blair Jr., daughter Karen S. Blair (Walter), cherished grandson Jeremy Blair, and dear sister Ester Dubois (Roger). In addition to his parents and wife Bertha, Kenneth was predeceased by his brothers Peter and Billy and sisters Anna and Eleanor.

Funeral services to honor Kenneth's life will be held on Saturday, June 22nd at Humiston Funeral Home located at 30 42nd St in Kerhonkson. The viewing will begin at 10am, followed by a service starting at 11:30am, with interment at Whitfield Cemetery in Accord.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made in Kenneth's memory to the Ulster County SPCA and/or to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.

Kenneth will be fondly remembered for his unwavering devotion to family and community. May he rest in peace knowing he touched the lives of many with his kindness and generosity.
