Kathy Lynn Van Demark

Kathy Lynn Van Demark of Accord, NY left this world on February 9th, 2021 after a long battle with cancer that lasted well over a year. She was 61 years old. Kathy was born on March 23rd, 1959 in Ellenville, NY; she was the daughter of Evelyn (Miller) Terwilliger and the late Ronald J. Terwilliger.

Kathy was an extremely talented artist who loved to draw, paint and make jewelry. She loved music and was also an incredible cook and baker. Her husband Barry said "It has been said that the way to a man’s heart is through his stomach" and Kathy was an excellent cook! In her younger years Kathy worked at the family business, Terwilliger’s Fruit Stand. She was also employed by Pioneer Exchange (PX) from the mid 1970's to 1980 and Van Demark Oil Incorporated during the 1980's. Kathy was also an amazing housewife and the best mother her daughter could ask for.

In addition to her mother Evelyn, Kathy leaves behind her husband Barry Jay Van Demark and her daughter Bobbi Jo Van Demark; her sisters Veronica and husband George Rider of Kerhonkson, and Loretta and husband Paul Rider of Vonore, TN, and brother-in-law Dave Mertine of Kingston; her nieces and nephews Ronald Rider (Danielle Bunton) of Kerhonkson, Timothy (Shannon) Pagliaroni Jr. of Accord, Rhonda Rider (Brett Van Gorder) of Accord, Alida Pagliaroni (Craig Miller) of Stone Ridge, Andrew (Lindy) Pagliaroni of Kerhonkson, Stephanie Decker of Vonore, TN, Arthur (Kelsey) Decker of Vonore, TN and Brooke Rider of Vonore, TN; and her great nieces and nephews Domenic and Hunter Palazzolo, Sophia and Lia Pagliaroni, Ava and Cole Van Gorder, Cierra Miller and Kampton Drake Decker.

Kathy was predeceased by her father Ronald, her sister Sharon Pagliaroni-Mertine and her brother-in-law Timothy J. Pagliaroni Sr.

Visiting will be held on Tuesday, February 16th from 10am to 12pm followed by a celebration of life service beginning at 12pm at Humiston Funeral Home, Kerhonkson. Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery, Stone Ridge.
