Kathryn Barringer

Kathryn Jeanne Barringer of Monticello, NY, died Friday, November 22, 2019 in her home surrounded by her family. She was 76 years old. Kathryn was born on March 11, 1943 in Kingston, NY. She was the daughter of the late Oscar and Ruth (Hart) Bollin.

On July 23, 1961 Kathryn had married James E. Barringer in Kerhonkson. They were married for 46 years before James had passed away in October 2007.

Kathryn was a past member of the Kerhonkson Fire Company Ladies Auxiliary. She enjoyed crocheting, playing Bingo, Yahtzee and watching game shows. She loved her music and was always ready to dance.

Kathryn is survived by her children; Diana Babcock and her husband Richard of Middletown, Lisa Horvath and her partner Michael Stinson of Walden, Tami Barringer of Monticello, and Jonathan Budd-Barringer and his wife Celina of Monticello. Grandchildren; Timothy Mann, Crystal Nesbitt, Emery Horvath, Joseph Genoski, Patricia Genoski and Ethan Paes. Kathryn has 4 great grandchildren and 2 more on the way. Also surviving are her brother Oscar Bollin, her sister Sandra Bollin and her sister-in-law Cathy Bollin. Besides her husband James, Kathryn was predeceased by her brother Charles Bollin.

Visiting will be held on Tuesday, November 26th from 5-6pm at H.B. Humiston Funeral Home, 30 42nd St., Kerhonkson. A Celebration of her life will follow at 6pm at the funeral home.
