Julian "Joe" Michael Bartle

Julian "Joe" Michael Bartle, 84, passed away Saturday, October 15, 2011, at the Kingston Hospital.
He was born October 27, 1926 in Burnside, NY, the son of Guy and Mary Bartle.
Mr. Bartle worked for the Grange League Federation (GLF), then as a manager for Agway, Inc., retiring in 1988. He was a past member of the Montgomery Lions Club, the Orange County Sanitation Association, the Ulster County Agricultural Advisory Committee, the Ulster County Extension Board, the U.C.C.C. Scholarship Committee, and a life member of the Middletown Elks Lodge. Mr. Bartle served as a member of the Rondout Valley School Board for 12 years. He was also a fond member of the Twitchell Creek Club and the Big Moose Fish and Game Club.
Mr. Bartle is survived by his loving wife, Constance Halstead Bartle, his children Gary Bartle and his wife Debbie of Virginia, Mark Bartle and his wife Julie of Kerhonkson, April Longto of Kingston, Julie Martin and husband Brian of Stone Ridge; his grandchildren Kristen Bartle, Kenna Bartle, Victoria Longto, Paris and Liam Martin, and great-grandchildren Abigail DeGraw and Ryan Malarczyk.
Visiting hours will be held Tuesday, October 18th from 2-4 & 7-9 pm at H.B. Humiston Funeral Home, Kerhonkson. A celebration of his life is scheduled for Wednesday the 19th 10am at the funeral home. Burial will follow at Wallkill Valley Cemetery, Walden.
