Ingrid VanEtten

Ingrid Wustrau Van Etten of Hurley, NY passed away on Thursday, March 3, 2022 in the comfort of her home with her family by her side. Born in Magdeburg, Germany on February 3, 1936; she was the daughter of the late Walter and Anna (Tolski) Wustrau.

Ingrid married Arnold Van Etten on April 2, 1961. He has since predeceased her.

Ingrid worked for Ellenville Hospital and IBM for many years and more recently Ulster Savings Bank. She loved to garden and was very proud of her flower beds filled with gorgeous color. She also enjoyed visiting Innisfree Garden, Mohonk and Minnewaska. Ingrid loved being a grandmother and a great aunt. She will always be remembered for her love and devotion for her family.

Ingrid is survived by her daughter, Lisa Ortiz, son-in-law, Alex; grandchildren, Matthew and Megan; brothers, Fred and Werner Wustrau; sister, Irene Mance and many nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents and her husband, Ingrid was preceded in death by her brother, Rolf Wustrau and her sister, Anita Nelson.

Visiting will be held on Thursday, March, 10^th from 4:00 pm to 7:00 pm and Friday, March 11^th from 10:00 am to 11:00 am with a Celebration of her life beginning at 11:00 am at Humiston Funeral Home, Kerhonkson. Burial will follow in Pine Bush Cemetery.
