Inger J. Hagen

It is with great sadness that the family of Inger J. Hagen of Accord, NY, announce her passing as she died peacefully at home on December 14, 2017. She was 76.

The daughter of the late Leif and Brita Johanne (Waage) Ramslie, she was born on August 26, 1941 in Bremnes, Norway.

Inger came to the United States in 1962 and was forever grateful to live in this country. She worked for VAW in Ellenville and then felt honored to work for the Rondout Valley Central School District for 27 years as a Head Custodian and then a Security Guard before her retirement in 2006. Inger enjoyed spending time with her friends at the meetings and events of the Kerhonkson-Accord Senior Group.

Inger will be lovingly remembered and her memories will be cherished by her three daughters: Esther Pomerantz of Accord, Joan Hagen of Texas, and Lisa Pacht and husband, Paul of Accord. Inger will be fondly remembered by her grandchildren: David Pacht, Edward Pomerantz, Roxanne Pomerantz, Andrew Pacht and Nicholas Pacht. Inger will also be forever remembered by her brother-in-law Lars Hagen Jr. and wife, Janis of Virginia; nephews, Kevin Hagen and wife Patty of Washington, Keith Hagen and wife Linda of Arizona, by her numerous nieces and nephews, her best friends Betty Bunch and Lilla Stouten, and her dear friends. Inger is predeceased by her five siblings: Magne Ramslie, Bjørg Lillian Rognmo, Ingard Ramslie, Liv Rigmor Nygård, and Eva Marie Espeland, all of Norway.

Relatives and friends may call on Tuesday, December 19th from 2-4 pm and 6-8 pm with a Memorial Service at 7:30 pm at H.B. Humiston Funeral Home in Kerhonkson. The graveside service will be held Wednesday, December 20th at 10am at Whitfield Cemetery on Airport Road in Accord.

In lieu of flowers donations may be made in Inger’s memory to the Kerhonkson-Accord First Aid Squad.
