Helen E. Cooke of Accord, NY died on Monday, March 26, 2012 at Benedictine Hospital. She was 74 years old. Helen was born on March 17, 1938 in Ogdensburg, NY the daughter of Chauncey and Helen (Smith) Schneider.
Helen was predeceased by her husband Joseph Lloyd Cooke, who died this past April, as well as her brothers, George and Richard Schneider.
She is survived by her children; Teresa Cooke of Kerhonkson, Lisa Cooke, Lloyd Cooke and Debbie Cooke and son-in-law Anthony Jackson, all of Accord. Her grandchildren; Alexander O'Riley, Damien O'Riley, Lloyd Cooke Jr, Robert Miller, Tasha Miller, Jeremy Miller and Tiffany Smith. Her brothers; John Schneider and wife Penny of Hawaii, and Tommy Schneider and wife Gail of Stone Ridge. Her sisters; Pat Benware and husband Lou of Watertown, NY, Nancy Tyler and husband Dusty of Pennsylvania, and Genevia Osterhoudt and husband Roger of Accord.
Visiting will be held on Wednesday, March 28th from 2-4 & 7-9pm at H.B. Humiston Funeral Home, 30 42nd St., Kerhonkson. A celebration of her life will be held Thursday the 29th at 10 am at the funeral home. Burial will follow at Pine Bush Cemetery.
