Hazel Ellen (Newman) Quick, 76 of Accord, NY, died unexpectedly at her home on November 11, 2011. Born on November 19, 1934 at home; she was the daughter of the late John H. and Gussie B. (Quick) Newman.
Hazel graduated Kerhonkson High School in 1954 and shortly after married Chester B. Quick. Hazel was a stay at home mom who enjoyed sewing, crocheting, quilting, drawing, painting and working in her vegetable gardens. She loved being around her grandchildren and spending time with her family.
In addition to her husband Chester at home, Hazel is survived by her three daughters; Katherine Rosario and her husband Jose of Accord, Shirley Dickerson and her husband Gary of Fayetteville, PA and Mary Webb and her husband Richard of Hagerstown, MD. She is also survived by 12 grandchildren, 20 great-grandchildren and her brother Robert Newman of Shokan, NY.
Visiting will be held on Wednesday, November 16th from 2-4 and 7-9 PM at H.B. Humiston Funeral Home, 30 42nd St. Kerhonkson. A Celebration of her life is scheduled for 8pm that evening. Cremation will be private.
In lieu of flowers contributions may be made in Hazel's name to St. Mark's United Methodist Church, 35 Church St., Napanoch, NY 12458.
