Her graduation marked a significant milestone as she became the first person in her family to achieve this feat. In some of her last words shared with her family, Gerry spoke poetically about a black door that she couldn't open. But later that day, she uttered words that brought both comfort and peace to her loved ones - "Someone opened the door. I can now see a lot of pretty colors." These words serve as a beautiful testament to the remarkable journey Gerry embarked upon after leaving this earth. May we find solace in knowing that she is now in a place of serenity where every color shines with endless beauty.
Gerry generously decided to have her body donated to the Albany Medical College. Her family expresses special thanks to Ellenville Hospital, Hospice, and to the Kerhonkson-Accord First Aid Squad where donations can be made to in her memory.
