Genevieve Zajac (Raboud) (6/29/51-2/20/17)

Genevieve was born in Sion, Switzerland to Lisette and Marc Raboud and leaves two brothers: Michel and Norbert Raboud. She traveled to the US in her early twenties to pursue her passion of photography. She went across this country and manifested her dream. When she returned, she found a part of her dream that she didn't pre design- she met her lifelong partner/husband and later was her devoted caretaker-Gregory Zajac of Brooklyn, NY. They married and moved to Kerhonkson where they had their only child-Natasha Althouse (Zajac) and were blessed with a son-in-law Philip Althouse and two grandchildren, Norah and Jonah Althouse. 

Genevieve devoted her life to her family, her art and the mentally/physically challenged population. She was best known for her enormous heart, keen vision, compassion and her loyalty to love. Before Dementia with Lewy Bodies stole her ability to speak, she would always repeat something to everyone she met. We leave you all with that quote to remember her by on this day of honoring her entire being..."Enjoy your life!"

Funeral services will be held privately and at the family’s discretion.
