Francis "Pete" Barley

Francis “Pete” Barley a life long resident and Dairy Farmer of Accord, NY died Thursday, April 2, 2010 at Benedictine Hospital. He was 90 years old. Francis was born on April 18, 1919 in Accord, the son of the late Albert and Jennie (Dixon) Barley.

Mr. Barley was a Mail Carrier for the Accord Post Office for 17 years. He was very active in the local 4-H and was a member of the Accord Fire Department, Co. #1. Francis liked to hunt and was a great pool player.

Francis is survived by his daughter, Linda Barley of Accord, his two sons; George Barley and Amy Epstein of Windsor, NY and Dr. Peter Barley and Kim of Bedford, NH, his grandchildren; Alexander, Christopher and Erica, his nieces; Janet Monte and Savina Pagel, his nephews; Robert, Charles, Norman, David, and George. 

Francis was predeceased by his wife Jane in 1994 and his brothers and sisters; Joseph, Lloyd, Marian, Margaret, Elizabeth, Albert “Spike” and Weston.
