Frances M. Vohs

Frances Colville Vohs died March 19, 2012 at the Kingston Hospital. She was predeceased by her husband, Harry Vohs. She is survived by her cousins H. Alan Terwilliger of Kingston, NY and A. Richard Terwilliger of Kerhonkson, NY and numerous extended family members as well as step children Janice Lomuto and Christopher Vohs of California.

Frances was born in Kerhonkson, NY on November 28, 1919 to Mabel Sheldon Colville and Irving Colville. She graduated from Kerhonkson High School and Cornell University. She went to live in New York City and was employed by Carnegie Foundation and traveled extensively. She was an accomplished artist and worked in partnership with her husband, who was a commercial artist for many years. She spent her later years upon the death of her husband, in Kerhonkson and was active and supportive of community affairs and the Kerhonkson Federated Church.

Funeral arrangements are by H.B. Humiston Funeral Home, 30 Forty Second St., Kerhonkson, NY. Visiting hours are Saturday, March 24, 2012 from 10-11am with a service beginning at 11am and committal service at Pine Bush Cemetery following.
