Emilia Renner

Emilia Renner of Kerhonkson, NY, died Friday, April 23, 2010 at Ellenville Regional Hospital. She was 94 years old. Emilia was born on March 2, 1916 in Ukraine; she was the daughter of the late Dmytro and Eugenia (Ostapowicz) Dzyga.

Emilia was married to Walter Renner. In 1956 they emigrated to the United States. Together they owned Renner’s Deli in Ozone Park for many years. Walter died in 1989. Emilia was a member of the Holy Trinity Catholic’s Women’s Association.  

Emilia is survived by her son Dr. Andrew Renner and his wife Christina of Los Angeles, CA, 2 grandchildren, 3 great-grandchildren nieces, nephews and cousins. Also surviving are many distant relatives in Poland and Ukraine.

Emilia was predeceased by her son George (Yurko) in 1976.
