Elizabeth M. Mitchell

Elizabeth M. Mitchell a longtime resident of Kerhonkson, NY, passed away on Saturday, November 10, 2018. She was 90 years old. Elizabeth was born in Accord at the family home on August 20, 1928; she was the daughter of Leroy J. and Mildred M. (Embree) Van Gasbeck.

Elizabeth had worked as a secretary for Suburban Propane for many years. She enjoyed sewing, knitting crocheting and was a wonderful cook. Her family meant everything to her. Elizabeth will be deeply missed, but fondly remembered by  her children, Thomas Ballard and his wife Barbara, Judy Taft and her husband Roger, Steven Ballard and his wife Stephanie and Kenneth Ballard and his wife Heather; her grandchildren, Christopher Ballard and his wife Michele, Jennifer Pearson and her husband Kristopher, Melissa Abbasi and her husband Imran, Sheena Rodelli and her husband Joseph and Sheela Tokle and her husband Kelsey; her great-grandchildren, Emily and Cecelia Ballard, Callum and Grady Abbasi, Joseph Rodelli, Steven Coddington, and Mia and Austin Tokle.

Elizabeth was predeceased by her first husband Richard Clayton Ballard, her second husband Donald J. Mitchell and her brother Arthur Van Gasbeck.

A graveside service will be held at 11:30 on Wednesday, November 14th at Pine Bush Cemetery Kerhonkson
