Edna B. Hasbrouck

Edna B. Hasbrouck a lifelong resident of Kingston, NY passed away peacefully on Sunday, April 15, 2012 at Ten Broeck Commons. She was 92 years old. Edna was born on November 22, 1919 in Kingston, NY; she was the daughter of Harry and Helen (Griffin) Beatty and the widow of Severyn Hasbrouck Sr.
Those who knew Edna also knew her strong appreciation for flowers. Being an avid gardener she always surrounded herself with the flowers she loved so much. Some may remember her from the many years she worked at Britt's Department Store in Kingston.
Edna is survived by her children Severyn (Joe) Hasbrouck Jr. and his wife Vivian of Kingston and Mary Jane Laus of Amherst, MA, three grandchildren; Linda Cavallaro, Susan Fisher and Allan P. Laus, and three great grandchildren.
In addition to her husband, Edna was predeceased by her brother Harry Beatty Jr. and her grandson David E. Laus.
The family will be receiving friends on Wednesday, April 18th from 7-9pm at H.B. Humiston Funeral Home 30 42nd St., Kerhonkson. A celebration of her life will begin on Thursday, April 19th at 11am at the funeral home. Burial will follow at Fairview Cemetery, Stone Ridge.
In lieu of flowers contributions can be made in Edna's name to the charity of your choice.
