Edgar W. Marshall

Edgar W. Marshall of Accord, NY, died Friday, February 12, 2010 at home with his family by his side. He was 84 years old. Edgar was born on April 27, 1925 in Roslyn, Long Island. He was the son of Clyde B. and Margery (Duryea) Marshall.

Edgar served his country in the United States Army during WWII. He earned a Bachelor of Arts Degree from Union College in Schenectady, NY. Mr. Marshall owned and operated Canyon Lake Dairy Farm which later became Marshall’s Tree Farm in Accord. He had also worked as a salesman for several different companies.

Edgar belonged to the New York State Christmas Tree Growers Association.

On November 4, 1952 Edgar married Mary Elizabeth Fredd in Hurley, NY. She died in 2007.

Edgar is survived by his son; Steven Marshall of Accord, his daughters; Vivian Kruppa of Accord and Kristen Hardin of Boulder, Colorado, his brother Clyde B. Marshall and his grandchildren John and Colleen Kruppa.

Mr. Marshall was predeceased by his brothers Burton and Roger D. Marshall.
