Chung Chun "CiCi" Churchwell

Chung Chun Park-Churchwell, everyone knew her as CiCi, of Kerhonkson, NY died Sunday, April 5, 2020. She was 93. CiCi was born on March 3, 1927 in Seoul, Korea.

She met the love of her life, Gordon L. Churchwell Jr. who was working in Korea at the time. On March 28, 1956 CiCi married Gordon and together they returned to Kerhonkson in 1964 to raise their family.

Prior to meeting her husband she was an airline stewardess. She then was the sole proprietor of a gift shop at the Fallsview Hotel for 30 years, and in the early 1980's opened an Importing/Wholesale Business that she conducted all over the country. CiCi was very active in the community and had served on the Rondout Valley School Committee advocating for children with learning disabilities. She was also a member of the Shawangunk Garden Club.

CiCi is survived by her sons; Yong-eui Song-Churchwell of Seoul, Korea, John Calvin Churchwell of Kerhonkson and her daughter Soonhi Churchwell of Kerhonkson. Besides her husband Gordon, she was predeceased by her sons; Bong-eui Song-Churchwell and Gordon L. Churchwell III.

Private services are being held at the discretion of the family.
