Charles H. Cooper

Charles Henry Cooper, Sr. of Kerhonkson, NY, died February 4, 2011 at his home. He was 71 years old. Charles was born on October 25, 1939 in Hyde Park, NY. He was the son of Griffith and Corrine (Donahue) Cooper.

Charles was a resident of Dutchess County most of his life. He spent the last 6 years in Kerhonkson with his son Steve and his wife Gloria and their children, Steven and Chad Cooper. Charles was an avid hunter and fisherman. He really enjoyed gardening and had always loved to watch his grandchildren’s little league games. Years ago Charles was very involved with coaching little league in East Fishkill.

Charles is survived by his five children; Charles Cooper and his wife Pamela of Poughkeepsie, Steven Cooper and his wife Gloria of Kerhonkson, Patricia Robinson of Beekman, Alicia Santore of Beekman, and Brett Cooper of Kerhonkson. His sisters, Jackie Cooper of Poughkeepsie and Mary Cooper of Pleasant Valley. Nine grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

Visiting hours will be held Wednesday, February 9th from 2-4 & 6-8pm at H.B. Humiston Funeral Home, Kerhonkson. Cremation will be private and at the discretion of the family.
