Anna Stenard

Anna Stenard of Stone Ridge, NY died on Tuesday, November 10, 2015 in Kingston at the age of 95. Born May 19, 1920 in Krumville, NY, Anna was the daughter of the late Augustus and Mary Wager.

Anna enjoyed western music, books and gardening and took great pride in how her property looked. She was talented in crochet and sewing and made many hats for herself. In her youth she had made many ceramic objects to give as gifts to family and friends. At the age of 60 she was proud to have completed courses to earn her high school diploma. She found the Pilgrim Holiness Church and became involved with the prayer groups. Anna had also worked for the High Falls Apple Orchard sorting apples and was always there to help her son work on the cars or even build a deck on the house, in many ways she was ahead of her time.

Anna is survived by her son, Robert Everett Sr. of Stone Ridge and her daughter, Joan Mayone of Port Ewen. 6 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren.

Visiting will be held on Friday, November 13, 2015 from 7-9PM at the Pilgrim Holiness Church, 4104 Route 209, Stone Ridge. A funeral service will be celebrated on Saturday the 14th 10AM at the church. Burial will follow at Krumville Cemetery. Funeral arrangements are under the guidance of Humiston Funeral Home, Kerhonkson, NY.
