Agnes Chomanczuk

Agnes Chomanczuk of Kerhonkson, NY died Sunday, May 12, 2013. She was 86. Agnes was born on March 30, 1927 in Megesheim, Germany, the daughter of Karl and Anna (Kleebauer) Bay.

Agnes had lived in Kerhonkson since 1968. She was an active committee member of Holy Trinity Ukrainian Catholic Church serving as the secretary/treasurer for many years and was involved with Soyuz Ukrainok (UNWLA) also serving as treasurer. Agnes had also been a business owner and operator in Putnam Valley, NY.

Agnes was pre-deceased by her husband John Chomanczuk who had died in 1992. She is survived by her children, Olga Leszczynski and her husband Kenneth of Kerhonkson and Walter J. Chomanczuk and his wife Marta of Newburgh. Her grandchildren; Antin and his wife Sarah, Peter and his wife Jennifer, Marko and his wife Shannon, Michael and his wife Jamie, and Christopher. Her great grandchildren; Madison, Niklaus, PJ, Emily and Tanner. Her brother, Fred Bay and his companion Marie of Newburgh and her niece, Christine Bay. She was pre-deceased by her brother Walter Bay.

Visiting hours will be Thursday, May 16^th from 5-7pm at HB Humiston Funeral Home, Kerhonkson. The Panakhyda will begin at 6pm that evening. The Holy Sacrifice of the Divine Liturgy will be Friday, May 17^th 10am at Holy Trinity Ukrainian Catholic Church, Kerhonkson. Burial will follow at Pine Bush Cemetery, Kerhonkson.
